Cosmetics Is Green!

Green is the new colour of cosmetics. These days many have become wiser in their cosmetics making decisions. When one walks into a cosmetics store, women ...and men might I add, can be seen carefully reading through product descriptions and ingredients. Most likely to help make informed and yes, safe purchases.

Gone are the days when people were the least bit concerned about label reading. Label reading is on an all time high nowadays. True we still have the I-do-not-care-so-long-as-it-lightens-my-complexion-and-smoothes-out-my-skin people about who we clearly have to have around somehow anyway, but the number of concerned consumers is clearly on the rise.

Do You Care About The source?

Several brands that sprung up in earlier years offering organic blends are now having a smooth come back to the limelight. We are beginning to realize that they are clearly visioners of our time. How did we not see this coming? I mean... we are talking companies in their Golden Jubilees and more already!
Organic blends can actually achieve for us much more that inorganic chemical containing cosmetics products can but for some reason, we failed to notice or be bothered.

These days it seems as if a light just came on in our minds and all of a sudden, safer cosmetics are sought after. So many ladies now even painstakingly make their own compositions for the same reasons. Ha! What a change!

You could go visiting a lady friend and right from the welcome at the door she is giving off interesting and nice smells such as those of avocado, nutmeg, lemon, tea tree, citrus etc you know practically smelling like a pot of something delicious. Then you watch her go through an organic personal care routine using products right in her kitchen and you are thinking, what on earth....!? Yet such a lady later emerges with beautifully glowing skin and you find yourself asking, please what did you use again?

There are plant based products that safely lighten, brighten, even out skin tones, softens, heals the skin and produce head turning fragrances to mention but a few benefits. Oh yes! All these are what we are seeking to attain but through probably unsafe ways. If only we can be a little more consistent and patient in the use of these organic products, the results would eventually show through.

I am going to be biased some as I favour certain plant based brands for obvious reasons. I mean who doesn't want to look beautiful safely anyway? Brands focused on plant based products are increasing by the day and hopefully will come through with their promises and offers. Consider for instance, Oriflame Cosmetics and Flawless by Sonya Sonya is a brand name created by the parent Forever Living Products, a company well known for its vast creations using the Aloe Vera plant.

I have used a foundation by Flawless by Sonya that surprisingly turned my skin really beautiful. The composition is so lovely that my face blemishes not just cleared, but my complexion really improved! Now isn't that something to talk about? I confess that I wasn't very attentive initially but because of my tendency to delay sometimes when I run out of products before repurchasing, I was able to notice the difference when I used the powder and what happens after not using the powder for a while.

I invested in some of these brands and promise you that I was not disappointed. However, the real secret to achieving lasting results is in consistency in the use of organic products. There is no magic about it. It is sure and steady and certainly not too slow too.
Chemicals show quicker results proving their harshness and I honestly don't want to think about what happens to our skin as a result.

There are persons who have had an unpleasant interaction with chemicals and wish they had made better choices. They are every where around us. The driving force behind their poor decision being impatience. Yes. Investing in organic brands require an equivalent investment in patience as well. The two are like some form of Siamese twins. The bottom line however is that you will surely see positive results eventually

Going forward, I shall intermittently chip in brief product presentations of some brands that are plant based mostly to bring to your awareness their benefits and uses. Most of the products are actually from well known brands although most only know of their existence at a glance. There is so much interesting information to be had about such brands and their product offerings

This is the world of organic beauty. Safe grooming!
